Thanks guys...what sucks is this time they're talking about a bone marrow transplant which put her in the hospital for a month.
I'm really lucky I have a very understanding and supportive workplace.

I knew it would be tight eight years ago when I quit my job to raise the kids but fuck me running.....bills are paid, barely but fucking fuck man. Never seem to get ahead. My oldest is kicking ass in school but is having a hard time reading and my youngest is in the process of being diagnosed for autism. Some days I just feel fucking beat, like life has taken a big steamy one right one my brain. I just want one year to go by where I can sit on New Years Eve and think the year was good. Doesn't help that the Sabres are awful hahaha.

There's only one good thing about cancer and that's that it helps put things in perspective and makes you realize things like the Sabres having a terrible season don't really matter all that much. Like I said on fb, I'm thinking about you all and wishing you luck.

Man, that really sucks. I hope things turn around for ya. I'm just about to have my first kid and wonder what life will be like in a few years, it must be pretty scary having a kid about to be diagnosed with Autism. Best of luck dude.

Women and friends and living circumstances come and go, but nothing so fully and irrevocably changes your life than having a kid.

I suggest having another right away so they can entertain each other...seriously.
If you have one, you've already incurred 90% of the cost (outside of college) so go for it

I am WAY ahead of you with this one, i've espoused this idea to my lady already, and....well, she's 6+ months pregnant and I don't know how she'd feel about 'poppin another one out' so quickly.

But yeah, I'd like to avoid a gap of more than 2 years between kids. My mom consciously waited 4 years between me and my brother 'so we wouldn't compete' and I think it was a mistake, I think we'd have been closer emotionally, and better friends as adults, had we been closer in age.

I'm heading camping. Pointing my Jeep west and heading out towards western Virginia.
