its really sad he cant stay healthy. ricky really is a good goalie. i always liked him, but its time, ricky. its time to hang em up, i think. so sad such a talent will be wasted. its not his fault. just genetics.

heres hoping maybe his luck can change.

if the isles ever cut ties with ricky, id want the sabres to bring him in as a project goalie.

You could replace DiPietro in that title with Connolly, and it would still work.

Hip surgery: nine games
Knee surgery: 60 games
Swollen right knee: 41 games
Various knee injuries: 36 games
Lower body injury: one game
Groin: 13 games
Neck injury: two games
Concussion: one game
Personal reasons: three games
Flu: two games
Headache: eight games

it seems more like bad luck then anything else.

Except that knee issues make up 85-90% of the games lost. That could be bad genetics for his knee joints. Who knows?

sometimes people are just born fragile. and some are born hardy and can take a fucking lumber log to the face and be all. im ok! and some hit their hand on a table and are out 7 months and have chronic problems the remainder of their lives.
