Here we go, down to the final 4. Let's see some predictions.

Poll will run for 24 hours so nobody revises their votes after the fact. Let's see how good we are at prognosticating. :)

Out of these 4 teams, I'm picking Canada to win it. The loss to the US seems to have woken them up, and they're definitely on their game. If they get a second crack at the US, I'm not sure even the stellar play of Miller can save them.

My prediction:

Gold : Canada
Silver : US
Bronze : Finland (I think the Slovaks have a decent shot, but I still hate Satan, so I can't pick em :) )

I'm hoping Miller has one of the greatest games of his life, should it come down to Canada/USA in the finals. In terms of Canada waking up, I think you're right Squanto. The guys who they needed to start playing are starting to come to life now. The loss to the US team left a real bad taste in their mouths. However, both teams need to make it there first.

The US team is playing some really great hockey, and thinking how some said the guys selected didn't belong; well they obviously didn't know what they were talking about. The guys on that US roster more than deserve to be on this team. Especially Miller. I'll express my concern though, again. In the coming days leading to the finals, I wish nothing but the absolute best for Miller and the US team, should they make it that far. But will the burn out factor play on our goaltending when the NHL resumes? If the US makes it to the finals, the only thing, IMO, that will keep Miller motivated and focused on his NHL and Sabres duties will be a gold medal win. If the gold is not in the cards for team USA, then best case scenario would be for them to play for, and winning the bronze. You finish up early (somewhat) enough to go home, rest up and prepare to resume in the NHL and still walk away a winner as one of the top 3 teams in the world.

Right now, I'm hoping we're all going to be treated to the best hockey possible in the next coming days!

As of now, gotta go with Canada...especially with the way they manhandled Russia. Slovakia does have a good defense but can Halak do the job in net?

I think this inspired Canadian team can take either Finland or the USA.

Gold Slovakia :(
Silver US
Bronze Canada

I've been skeered of the Slovaks from day one. Halak has been outstanding.

I'm still clinging on to the dream that USA won Gold on a clutch Drury goal.
Even if it doesn't turn out this way, it was still an awesome dream.

Slovakia...come on. They are a talented and pesky team, but they just can't match up with Canada. They aren't physical and that's how to beat Canada. USA and Finland will beat each other up in a tough low scoring game, but I still expect USA to win. Either way Canada will win the gold because even if the USA and Finland play their best game against Canada (as the USA already did) I would give them a 30%chance of beating Canada. You can't expect your best game, while still getting outshot 44-23, to be a winner two times in a row.

I firmly believe the USA hockey team takes the Gold Medal. They have already proven they can beat the Canadians.
They have excellent goaltending, they have great penalty killing, they appear to have great chemistry. But what strikes me above all of these or any other fact about the USA team, they have the mind set to sacrifice everything they are as hockey players, as a team, to get the job done.

The thing about the U.S. team that bothers me is the habitual inability of the defense to clear the zone, especially sending passes to the forwards. That's gotta stop if we have a chance to win gold. Stastny also needs to get his head out of his ass.

I picked USA because in a short tourney like this anyone can win.

Who would have thought the US team could have made it this far already?

Gold- USA
Silver- Canada
Bronze- Slovakia

Finland doesn't have the scoring Slovakia or even the USA team has. Even though the game ended 2-0, The USA still got three pucks past Hiller and if Canada plays Broduer in the Gold medal game they will be licking their chops, Luongo isn't even that solid of a goalie, his three goals against in the Russian game looked stoppable also.

Even if Canada got woken up, now they had immense play not from their top two lines of that game, also played against a terrible Russian Defense.

USA has Miller, if anyone can steal a win when your team gets outshot almost 2:1, it's him right now.

Gotta go with US for the gold. It would simply be un-American to think otherwise.

I'd say its a toss up between Canada and the US for Gold and the Fins take the bronze.

Canada has been hellapissed since USA beat them. Only an act of Miller can stop them now!!

Does anyone remember that Brodeur chap? I don't think we will be seeing him again until after the Olympics, and I hope his confidence is shot for the rest of the season :o

I think all the USA has to do to win is score the first goal.. that changes the Canadian play completely and its something they're not familiar with and should throw them off enough.

I honestly think the US can beat Canada again.

I don't think we played that great in our first game, and Canada played excellent.

We have more grit than they do, and that's going to be important.

And we can match them in speed and such, plus USA has at least some sort if defense unlike most of the other teams Canada played and dismantled, oh wait Swiss took them to a shootout with solid goaltending also, plus we have Miller.

WoW. I`ll give you Max`s goal cause he did cheat a bit but the other two he could even see the shooter. Like not even a solid goaltender. Get the homer glasses off man.

Gold - USA
Silver - Canada
Bronze - Slovakia

I see our boys winning gold for a number of reasons, Canada winning silver because there's no way they aren't making it to the gold medal game, and Slovakia winning bronze to give them their first Olympic medal ever.
