Got the alert on my phone. Put him back with Myers and boom, we have a Norris winner in Myers. The biggest question now is what number is he going to wear? Seeing how 10 is currently being worn by Ehrhoff. |

How many defensemen do we have? I guess it depends on whether Ristolainen or Zadorov will play... |

He played well in the limited time he played, though. Maybe he makes the team. |

I'm good with this. He was (obviously) brought back to straighten out Myers. He's a good veteran presence, a talented D-man, and he can help the kids to stay pointed in the right direction. I'm sure Darcy will catch crap for it, but it's not a bad idea. |

I like it. Maybe Hank can get Myers' head out of his ass. It's only for one year, and we have the cap room, and we're not going to do shit next year, anyway. NJ gets a little cap flexibility, although this makes them a little thin on D. Maybe they're thinking of re-signing Zidlicky? Seems like a good trade for both clubs. |

I didn't totally miss Tallinder when he left, but I'm glad he's back. |

Typical Sabres, acquiring a shootout specialist. |

I said when he left that we'd miss him because of his effect on Myers. I love being right. I didn't know how right I'd be at the time. Only question is, is Myers too far gone to bring back? Either way it's a great move, to get a solid NHL D-man for a player in Boychuk (former Winterhawk) who IMO will never be an NHL regular. |

This is annoying the hell out of me that everyone is excited for Tallinder return. In hopes that it will help Myers "find his game." Miley is a fucking adult! If she can't "find her game" without someone holding her hand why the fuck does she deserve twelve million dollars!!!!!! Why the fuck is she even in the league. I think she needs to put her big girl panties on and learn to play the game. I still think his rookie year was an anomaly. I guess time will tell while the little girl holds Hanks hand.... |

First off, anybody who thinks Tallinder was brought back to "hold Myers hand" is being ridiculous. While, yes, he was a huge factor in why Tyler Myers had a great rookie season, Tallinder is a much different player now than he was 4 years ago. I see this more as help for Ristolainen/Pysyk, etc. than it is any help for Myers. |

I think Myers will be fine, although I have bias because I really like the kid. He doesn't need a hand, he just needs to start right from day 1 of the offseason, and it seems like they have that all figured out. (it was a glaring hole coming in from a shortened season for a LOT of teams IIRC). Tallinder may be there to guide him a bit more, but I really think they want Tallinder to work with the other giants on defense because of what they think Tallinder did for Myers in the past. |

LMFAO. A 34 yo has-been defenseman whose career has been in continuous decline since '05-'06, can't crack the starting lineup for his last team in half the games, now coming back to "mentor" a 5th year defenseman at the bargain basement price of 3M+? Yeah. |
