One, Horton would be a godsend to this team, so it would never happen.
Two, just plain waiving Mair and trading Paille wouldn't be all that's needed. There'd be some legit players that need to get moved. People wanna ship out Hecht, but that ain't gonna happen, and Hank is playing too well with Myers to move yet.
????????????????????
Tallinder is not to good not to be replaced. I can name atleast 2 guys in portland that would love to have his spot and play pretty much just as well............oh wait, how about that guy that is sitting in the press box now? Patches.
Tallinder needs to go, period. Same with Hecht, along with 2 out of the 6 forwards on line 1 + 2.
If we continue to "wait" (isn't that what were saying now) for these so called scorers to "find" (if they lost it they don't deserve to be here) there stride or zone or call it what you will, this team will continue to play average to below average offensive hockey. Pathetic that we keep telling ourselves things will get better, when in fact, they won't due to the same pieces of the puzzle still in the same positions.
The reality is Tallinder is expendable. Defensive players are ready to step in for him and at a cheaper price. Myers has helped hank achieve his stellar return as a defenseman, lets jump on it and dump him for picks or put him in a multi-player deal to bring in a big, scoring center or dangling/sniper RW.
Same for Hecht. We need consistent offensive pressure and players that can find the net to finish a play on line 1 + 2.
