play a goalie whos kind of sucking it up in the AHL in an NHL game. sure, Miller could use a rest and yes it give Enroth experience but at the moment it seems like a throw away game.

You can't just automatically count a game a "throw away game", no matter what the circumstances are. Enroth is our only option for our backup at the moment and he's going to have to play at some point, regardless of his stats in the AHL. Miller needs to be getting as much rest as possible, considering this is an Olympic year which means not only will he see more playing time because of the Olympics, the season is a lot more condensed so it's going to get harder and harder to find games to rest him as the season progresses. Not to mention we don't want him to be burned out come April, if we want him to be on the top of his game for the postseason.

I know Lindy has had trouble rotating our goalies in the past, but all because Lalime is injured doesn't mean he should stray away from trying to give Ryan rest and getting as much use out of his backup that he can.

I'm a little anxious and excited to see what Enroth can do under the bright lights of the NHL with a proper team in front of him. Given that he's a lot like a poor man's Ryan Miller, I think he'll fit in with the system and have a good game.

Portland games? If so, maybe Enroth can do something with a real hard working team in front of him. Not saying Portland isnt hard working, but I mean more of a together proffesional team ha.

he just looks beaten. like, you can tell when someones too good for a level. i dont think this is the case. id rather draft another goalie, but like i said, i wanna wait and see what happens.

I was so stoked on Enroth last year, him being arguably my favorite prospect throughout much of the season. I can't believe the dropoff he's had this year. Yeah its early, but he needs to get his shit in gear because we still have 4 more years to develop a goalie before miller is up

Could you define this beaten look of his?

I have seen nothing but a goalie with quick feet, a fast glove, and a pretty damn good stick side. He's a little weak high stick, I'll give you that, but a lot of guys not named Ryan Miller are weak high stick side.

There's a reason that Ryan Miller was signed to a 5 year deal...he's one of the best goalies in the league, if not the best.

Enroth will be good, once he hits 26 or 27, he and Miller will be better than the Biron/Miller combo we had in 06-07.

Never saw the Boston game but did Enroth look bad or not.

1st goal was soft and I was too pissed to watch the rest.

Enroth wasn't horrible, and he wasn't very good, either. Honestly, what goalie was playing probably wouldn't have made a ton of difference.

1st goal was a completely unsaveable deflection. None of the goals were soft, and Enroth played very well to keep Boston to just four goals. I actually watched the entire game, so trust me on this.

He actually was pretty good. He had to make saves on all sorts of breakaways and odd man rushes.

That 1st goal bounced through him or just over his right pad, and he was too far to his left and slightly out of position for the stop. He wasn't the reason I was pissed though, they just looked like shit and I knew how it would turn out.
