At the moment, in order to clinch the division, it is necessary that we accumulate 99 points, and in order to clinch an outright playoff spot, we must accumulate 95 points.

With that in mind, I thought it would be a great idea to take a look at the remaining schedule:

(Parenthesis record means current season record against team.

3/24- Montreal (3-0-1)- We're manhandling the small Canadiens this year. All games except for a 6-2 blowout have been one goal wins, with only our OT loss out of regulation.

3/26- Senators (0-3-1)- With the Sens in free-fall mode about a month early, I'm not making any predictions about this one.

3/27- Tampa Bay (3-0-0)- Buffalo will be going for the sweep on Saturday.

3/29- Bruins (1-1-2)- For some reason, when two scoring deficient teams meet, the Bruins win the defensive battle. Seeing how the Sabres have found their scoring touch, I'm hopeful for the last two games.

3/31- Panthers (2-1-0)- The away team has won each game, so we don't want that trend to continue.

4/1- Maple Leafs (5-0-0)- That record just made me laugh. A lot.

4/3- Canadiens- see above

4/6- Rangers (2-1-0)- The Rangers can't seem to beat anybody with that horrific offense, and they're even losing defensive games, too, like against the Bruins Sunday.

4/8- Bruins- see above

4/10- Senators- see above

4/12- Devils- (2-1-0) Sabres doing well against constricting trap teams.

Looks like the perfect confidence booster schedule.

It looks like the only team in the division the Sabres can't finish off with a winning record is the Sens. No surprise there. I wanna see the boys dominate the rest of the division like they mostly have all season.

Also, VanekFanatic, your math is off. The Sabres need, as of right now, 99 points to outlast Montreal for the division, but 100 to outlast Ottawa (Ottawa owns tiebreakers).

You're Tampa fact is false. The Sabres beat them in Buffalo 5-3 in January. It was the game where they beat the franchise record for fastest three goals. No harm intended, just pointing that out. Buffalo has actually won all 3 games, I believe.

It has been fixed. My bad for the screw-up. I could have sworn it was Tampa AND Florida.

I'm just hoping the Sabres can at least grab one win against the Sens before heading into the postseason...

Yup 95 points for the Sabres to clinch a playoff spot as of now. And if Montreal wins tonight then 99 points for Division.

I've been meaning to mention it, jordano - suhweet Hasek avatar.

And yea, our schedule doesn't seem so bad. Sabres just need to capitalize.

Yeah man Hasek was a champ. He's the reason why I started liking the Sabres. He also influences my goalie style. I owe it all to that flexible crazy bastard! ahaha
